If you stopped by yesterday then you know that I haven't been having as much time as I'd like to have to craft.  It's so hard to find the time with my kids home from school.  I'm one of the many "Kitchen Table Crafter's" but, I do try to squeeze in some time at the table every so often.

So, for today's project it kind of just happened... I love when that happens.

I used all scraps except for the ribbon.  I'm still working on getting rid all of those scraps.

One of my favorite sayings was the inspiration for this card.

That saying is, "Be Yourself, because everyone else is already taken!!!"

or

"Be Yourself, no one else does it like you do!!!"

I could keep going on but, I wont drag on todays post like the one from yesterday did.

I opted to leave the inside of this card blank so that I could use it for any kind of a card I want to.

Okay so I know I mentioned blog candy above... here's what I'm doing in case you don't know .... As I go out shopping and I'm picking up things for myself I'm also picking up various other items that I'm stock piling for when I reach 500 followers.  The only rules to this giveaway are you have to be an active follower. People who frequently leave me comments even if I haven't posted in awhile.  I want to reward the people who are here because they actually want to and enjoy being here.

Happy Saturday to everyone!!!  I'm so glad you've decided to stop by here today.  If you just happened to drop in ..... your sooooo lucky because today is day 1 of the Summer Fun Blog Hop that is being hosted by the uber talented Kathryn from Creations With Kathryn.  So if you just stopped by today and you'd like to start at the begining of the hop just pop on over to Kathryn's Blog.  I'm not sure whose offerring Blog Candy but, I'm pretty sure someone will.... Isn't Jessica super talented?  And, I just love the name of her blog.

Okay now that all of the formalities are out of the way.... On to the good stuff....

For my project I've decided to do two different projects so you'll also have to stop back by tomorrow to see a really cute card that I made.  Today I'd like to share with you the inspiration for my project.  If you don't already know I'm lucky enough to live in a rural gated community that is in the woods of upstate Pennsylvania.  I couldn't be happier, I love being so close to nature... My kids have coined me as "Mother Nature".  I just can't seem to help myself I'm always outside with my camera in tow.

Out back of our house I have a herb garden going on our deck and I have a few potted plants hanging well as luck would have it.  I have a gerainium plant hanging there and the one day I went to water it and a small black bird shot out of it and was freaking out.  So I assumed that meant there was a nest in it.... a few days after that :

Here they are in all their peach fuzziness!!!!  I think there is 3 of them maybe 4.  I will have you know that I have since then stopped watering my plant so's not to drown them and, under no circumstances do we touch them... we admire them from afar.

So since I've shared my inspiration for todays project here's my project.  If you frequent JoAnne's like me I'm sure you've seen these cute little birdhouses in the $1.00 bin in all different styles.  I picked out two that I liked and I did them up.

I painted them with Acrylic Paints and I decorated them with patterned paper.  Then I blinged them up and I also ventured into cutting felt out with my Cricut Expression 2..... Once I got the hang of it... It was fun but, up and until that point... I was not a happy camper.

Very simple project, see for me I have two teenaged  kids that are home from school and then they have friends who come over so my summer crafting hasn't been all that easy to do... Been to busy.  So, for this hop I opted for simplicity.

I hope that you've enjoyed my project and that you will come back tomorrow so that you can see what else I did.  It's another pretty simple project that really didn't take too long to do.

Okay so earlier in my very long post I mentioned about Blog Candy, I haven't forgotten.  What I'm doing about blog candy is while I'm out on my own crafting supply trips I'm picking up many odds and ends and I'm stock piling some goodies for when I reach 500 followers.  To be eligiable all you need to do is be an active follower and leave some comments from time to time and when I hit 500 I am going to pool all of my active followers names together and then I'm going to select some one to win.  I hope that makes sense .  I want to reward the people who want to be here because they want to and not just for what they can get.  I really do appreciate all of my followers and I'm so happy that you are here.

Now on that note I'm going to send you on your way to the super talented Sigrid at LoveScrapReflect .  I was just on her blog and she made the cutest Rosettes.... it almost reminded me of the flowers that I made out of ribbon.... I'm soooo, proud of them I really should take some pics of them and post them... I'm so far behind in my blogging can't wait for school to go back so I have some more time.  It's tough when your on the kitchen table crafting but, I make it work.  Have a good one and be sure to come back tomorrow
